Family Eyecare Center of Council Bluffs provides comprehensive eye exams for family members of all ages. Our comprehensive eye exams include:
Refraction, assessment of binocular function, slit lamp biomicroscopy, measurement of intraocular pressures, dilated fundus exam and digital retinal photography.
Management of Ocular Diseases
Family Eyecare Center of Council Bluffs will evaluate, treat, and manage any signs of ocular disease. It is vitally important to follow recommendations from your primary care physician regarding routine eye exams if you have any medical history. Diabetes mellitus, systemic hypertension, elevated cholesterol, heart disease, and thyroid disease are only a few medial conditions which can affect the eyes. The doctors of Family Eyecare Center focus on the overall health of every patient and know it is important for our patients to continue with great vision throughout their life.
Infant’s First Eye Exam
Participating in the InfantSEE program, Family Eyecare Center of Council Bluffs provides a complimentary eye exam for infants between 8 – 12 months old to identify and provide early treatment to any potential vision and eye health concerns. Things that the doctor will exam include:
- excessive or unequal amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism
- eye movement ability
- eye health problems
